The inspiration behind this painting came from the seahorse’s quiet reminder to find calm within the rush of daily life.

This is one of my favorites. Introducing  “Ethereal Drift of the Seahorse”, a 22 x 30 inch mixed media piece finished in oil that invites you into the quiet beauty of an often overlooked sea creature. This work captures a seahorse rendered in soft, muted shades of purples, whites, and light blues, set against a richly textured background of deep blues with subtle hints of green and darker tones. The delicate, flowing lines of the seahorse’s body create a sense of gentle movement, as if it’s slowly drifting through the water. Fragile yet full of quiet presence.

In this piece, I aimed to balance detailed realism with an almost otherworldly quality, drawing attention to the seahorse’s unique form while evoking the mysterious depth of its underwater home. This process allowed me to build an atmosphere that feels both tangible and delicate, reflecting the seahorse’s balance between fragility and strength.
